Ideal Trolling location for crappie, bass, catfish ~ Read on for more info about Hoover Reservoir.
The Far North end of Hoover has a lot of shallows and flats on the north west side. Great for Catfishing! The North end has a river feeders. Great spot for smallmouth bass. Also @ the north east end is a feeder river with an old bridge where you can catch largemouth bass. Near the boat ramp on the north end is an island which yields largemouth bass, and suagers. Crappie, fishing is big near the boat ramp on the north east side of the reservoir. as you head south, trolling shallow and in the channel will yield crappie, bass and catfish. Trolling under and thru the Big Walnut Road Bridge produce largemouth bass strikes as well as crappie.

On the west side of hoover along Sunbury Road Just South of Big Walnut Road There are some cliff areas with deep water. Trolling thru this area will yeild largemouth strikes as well as crappie. Pause a bit here and find the hot spots!

Continue South and Troll the deep waters. Use planer bobbers with spinners, crank baits, live minnows, small baby 1 minus and rapala 2 piece shallow divers / cranks are great for huge strikes all species.
